In Austria, art and culture are an integral part of identity. Whether classical music at the famous Salzburg Festival or the opera festival in Bregenz, where Lake Constance becomes the actual stage: For decades, the Austrian Festival has been a guarantee for first-class musical enjoyment. In addition to major world-class festival events, it is also small regional festivals that make Austria's cultural offerings so diverse. The interplay between breath-taking nature and rich culture as well as the regional delicacies form an excellent supporting programme to the festivals.
The 74th Bregenz Festival (17/07 – 18/08) captivates the audience with top-class open-air operas. With spectacular stage sets on the shores of Lake Constance, the festival offers a unique combination of nature and culture.
In July and August, the famous Salzburg Festival (20/07 – 31/08) takes you to the artistic upper league - the cultural experience of a city that the famous Austrian poet Hugo von Hofmannsthal called "the heart of the heart of Europe".
